#CantWaitToSeaYouAgain, real travellers and real experiences in Cuba
Cuba's division of Iberostar Hotel and Resorts has launched a new real-life client experience campaign entitled #CantWaitToSeaYouAgain, which aims at welcoming back tourists to Cuba for the re-opening of its borders on 15th November.
This campaign is based on the personal experiences of tourists from all over Europe and North America who have sent in photographs and short videos of their holiday experiences on the Caribbean island.
The idea is to promote Cuba as a safe tourist destination following the pandemic, whilst coinciding with the approaching re-opening of the country's borders on 15th November.
The Cuban Ministry of Tourism (MINTUR) recently released a statement confirming that increased flexibility would be shown to incoming holidaymakers from 15th November onwards, listing that hygiene and sanitary protocols will be made more flexible when travellers arrive in Cuba, with the focus being on monitoring symptomatic patients and taking temperatures.
In addition, PCRs will not be required upon arrival, and the travellers' own national vaccination certificate will be officially recognised by Cuba.
How has Cuba coped with battling COVID-19?
Few countries have taken such a determined stance against COVID-19 as Cuba, with scientists on the island have worked on no fewer than five vaccines overall: Soberana 01, Soberana 02 and Soberana Plus, as well as Abdala and Mambisa (the latter a nasal spray).
It's estimated that more than 90% (92.6%) of the entire Cuban population, 11.2 million people, will have received the three-doses of their COVID-19 vaccines by 15th November, even including the 2 to 18 years old age demographic.
