Due to the very low number of daily COVID-19 cases now being reported in Cuba, from July 1st 2020 Cuban airspace will re-open, paving the way for the gradual return of tourism into the island, starting with the offshore beach resorts (known as Cayos). Initially, the main tourist flights into Cuba will only be arriving from North America, though it is expected that flights between Cuba and Europe could be operational shortly afterwards.
